About The Editor

Born in the lush hill country of Arkansas, Donna stayed in the area out of love for the Ozarks trees-- extreme weather shifts notwithstanding. Having a degree in English, she admits to a penchant for comma placement and a passion for diagramming sentences... in her spare time. She’s worked jobs like housekeeping as well as vocations like teaching. She’s spent the better part of two decades with the University of Arkansas, from shifting books to shepherding monies. Donna likes diversity, culture, collaboration, and good food—as long as it's vegetables—as much as she loves the atmosphere of learning. “There is something new every day.”

Of course, she also writes. While her first love is epic fantasy, which she’s writing while attempting to contain the many voices (ranging from ordinary people to extraordinary "critters") ranting in her head, she enjoys penning all kinds of speculative and mainstream fiction. She’s published several poems, flash fictions, and short stories of each type. Now her focus is trained on “whipping that novel into shape!”
